Rudaina Siddiqi (MA, MSW, RSW)
I am a registered social worker and psychotherapist offering online therapy for adults in Ontario, Canada, and virtual counselling-style coaching for adults in the UAE. My practice is grounded in trauma-informed, culturally responsive care for individuals navigating life transitions, emotional challenges, and identity shifts.
As a psychotherapist in Ontario, I provide online therapy sessions for individuals navigating migration, identity challenges, cultural adjustment, social isolation and belonging, family conflict and intergenerational dynamics, and relationship challenges. I provide support for those dealing with depression, anxiety, and social anxiety.
I also offer virtual counselling-style coaching for expats living in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and across the UAE. While not a clinical service, this counselling-informed coaching draws on my psychotherapy background to support clients with emotional well-being, self-awareness, and personal growth. The areas of support mirror those in my therapy work - personal challenges, cultural adaptation, identity shifts, life transitions, family and relationship dynamics, social isolation, and work-related stress and burnout. Therapy and coaching sessions are reflective, culturally aware, and grounded in meaningful change.
As an IFHP provider in Canada, I offer therapy and psychological assessment reports for refugee claimants in Ontario. In addition, I provide consulting services to organizations globally that are working with refugee claimants and newcomers, helping them improve access to mental health care and settlement support.
Having lived in Canada, Pakistan, and England, I bring a nuanced understanding to my work as a psychotherapist and consultant. These cross-cultural experiences continue to shape how I see people, systems, and the possibilities for change.
I am a registered social worker and psychotherapist with 15 years of experience in social work, psychotherapy, community development, and education. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (specializing in Mental Health and Health) from the University of Toronto and a Master’s in Development Studies from York University, Canada.
As a South Asian therapist with a global outlook, I understand the complexities of identity, migration, and cultural transitions - especially for expats and migrant communities. Having lived and worked across Canada, Pakistan, and the UK, I bring a cross-cultural lens to both my online therapy practice in Ontario and my coaching work with adults in the UAE.
My therapeutic approach combines humanistic methods, narrative therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), tailored to each client’s unique needs. This blend supports emotional work while remaining practical and goal-oriented. These same values also inform my counselling-style coaching, which focuses on emotional well-being, self-awareness, and resilience. In my coaching for UAE-based clients, I help individuals navigate life transitions, relational stress, social isolation, identity shifts, and workplace challenges in a culturally attuned and reflective space.
I offer services in English, Urdu, and Hindi. Whether through therapy or coaching, my goal is to create a thoughtful, supportive space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered in their personal growth.
This experience also informs my consulting work, where I help organizations improve access to culturally responsive mental health care and settlement support for newcomers and refugees.
